Stage 1 of the redevelopment has been completed!!!
The major work of redeveloping Allowah began in March 2008. Staff moved into the new administration block in December 2008, and on 23rd February 2009 the children were moved into the new wards.
On Saturday 23 May 2009 over 150 Allowah supporters attended the Celebration held at the Presbyterian Ladies' College in Croydon, to celebrate this happy occasion.
On Saturday 20 June 2009 over 140 people were at Allowah for the official opening of the new Allowah by Dr Andrew McDonald MP, Member for Macquarie Fields and Pediatrician.

The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Australia in New South Wales, the Right Reverend Chris Balzer, as his first activity since moderating the General Assembly held during the week commencing 13 July 2009, visited the Allowah Presbyterian Children's Hospital.
He is seen here with Mrs Anne Slater (left) and Dr Helen Somerville. Mr Balzer, who was a Pharmacist prior to joining the ministry, took particular interest in the pharmaceuticals and medication procedures adopted at Allowah.
