Allowah is stepping into an exciting new chapter as we expand our services to include supported independent living for young adults with complex disabilities. This latest step reflects our commitment to ensuring that as children grow, they continue to receive the care and support they need. Preparing our spaces for this next chapter has been greatly helped by the generosity of our new friends at Valiant Furniture.
Valiant first connected with Allowah in 2024 after we reached out to various companies for support. While many large businesses didn’t respond, Valiant—a furniture hire and styling company—stepped in with generosity, despite having no prior connection to Allowah. Over the course of this year, they have visited us three times, delivering two major donations of furniture to help create welcoming, practical spaces for our young adults, their families, and our wider community.
Their contributions have included:
- Outdoor furniture to enhance our shared outdoor space.
- Chairs for the supported independent living spaces, so that young adults’ families have a comfortable place to sit when they visit.
- Coffee tables and couches for the living room areas, creating a relaxed space for parents and carers.

When Valiant made their latest donation on December 3, 2024, it was on a particularly special day—International Day of People with Disability and Allowah’s Christmas Party. Their delivery team was met with excitement, especially from the kids, who were fascinated by the delivery trucks and the people bringing in the furniture. The energy and kindness they brought that day made it feel like more than just a delivery—it was a moment of joy and connection for everyone at Allowah.
