We offer 24/7 care from skilled Support Workers and Nurses, ensuring you can thrive, make friends, achieve your goals, and enjoy life in a vibrant, supportive home environment.
At Allowah, you will thrive. We provide the healthcare support you need 24/7. We also provide assistance so that you can attend appointments with people who really understand your disability and medical needs. We support or provide your therapy services. And most of all we make sure you have the opportunity to engage with your friends, family and the community to support your mental health.
Living at Allowah is to enjoy life! We provide activities on site, tailored to the things you like! So if you enjoy a bit of R&B or country music, we make that happen. If you like movies or football or painting or cooking or chilling out in a quiet sensory space… it’s all about you.
We also provide opportunities to engage with your local community both by getting out and about and having great people come onsite bringing with them music, activities, animals, fire engines and superheroes just to name a few.
Most importantly, your family can visit you as often as you want them to. We want you to be able to enjoy their company and provide spaces for you to do that, inside or out in the fresh air. They are always welcome.
At Allowah, we work hard with you to achieve your goals. Whether they are around physical improvement, communication, behaviour support or living as an adult, enjoying the outdoors or attending tennis matches we will be there.
At Allowah we will help you get to know people, make friends with people your own age and hang out with people who like doing the things that you like doing. Movie nights, reading, cooking, watching the footy, music, trips to fun places … whatever you and your friends enjoy we will deliver!
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a shared living arrangement with support in a home-like environment. It includes help with daily tasks like personal care and eating. It helps you live as independently as possible, while building your skills. SIL is for people with higher support needs, who need support all the time, 7 days a week including overnight support. You can get supported independent living if you live with other NDIS participants. Supported independent living funding can’t be used for things like rent or other day-to-day expenses like groceries.
You can find more information in the Supported Independent Living Guideline.
