A Community Built These Rooms

A team effort for our young adults

At Allowah, every step forward is made possible by the incredible generosity of our community.

Recently, we reached a milestone that will have a lasting impact—the completion of our new Supported Independent Living (SIL) rooms. These rooms are more than just spaces; they represent a new chapter for Allowah, a place where young people with complex disabilities can continue to receive the care and support they need as they grow into adulthood.

Setting up these rooms wasn’t just a project—it was a community effort. Volunteers from families, friends, and our church communities rolled up their sleeves to help bring these rooms to life. Our friends at Bunnings Rydalmere and Valiant generously donated furniture, ensuring these rooms are not only functional but feel like home. And with the help of donated funds from the committee at Ardill House, each room was fitted out with spacious, practical wardrobes suitable for the young residents who will live here.

These rooms are just the beginning. With the support of our wonderful community, Allowah is creating a future where young people with complex disabilities can live, grow, and thrive. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!

Before and After

To celebrate this milestone, we partnered with One Ski Digital to capture the transformation in photos and videos. We also filmed another interview with a parent, which will be released in June 2025 and shares their Allowah story as a family whose child is now continuing to receive the support they need as a young adult.
