Are you looking for things to do in the upcoming school holidays? Would you like your child to have interesting and stimulating activities to do? Concerned about the level of care your child needs to attend a holiday program?
Look no further than Allowah!
We run fun and engaging holiday activities for children with complex medical needs and disabilities. Our team of nurses and support staff are especially trained in caring for kids with complex needs. Our programs are undertaken in a fun, caring and supportive environment.
The School Holiday Program is run by our Support Workers and Assistants in Nursing who are fully trained to provide personal care and eating / drinking support for your child.
So that we can get to know you and your child’s needs, we will meet with you prior to your child attending Allowah.
Come for one day, come for a couple of days and stay overnight or come for a whole week of fun!
Allowah's respite stays provide kids some time away from family to take a break from daily routine by staying in an accessible home-away-from-home. With daily activities, the opportunity to interact with new friends and expert medical and nursing staff on hand, you can have peace-of-mind while your child enjoys a break from routine. Our team of nurses and support staff are especially trained in caring for kids with complex needs. With at least one Registered Nurse on site at all times, and experienced paediatricians on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, you can be confident that your child is well looked after during their stay.
Allowah’s School Holiday Program is open to all children with moderate to severe disabilities. The School Holiday Program offers one-to-one support and engaging activities tailored to your child's abilities. The School Holiday Program can be paid for from the core supports budget in your child’s NDIS plan or through private payment. Children with complex medical needs are most welcome. The program may not suit all children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, but please have a chat with us so we can see what might work.
Thank you for your patience as we update our website to reflect Allowah’s next chapter and the changes announced in June this year. If you have any questions, please contact our CEO Elizabeth McClean at emmclean@pcnsw.org.au.
