Short-term accommodation (STA) provides planned short-term, time-limited breaks for families and carers of children and young people with a disability.

With at least one Registered Nurse on site and very experienced paediatricians on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year, Allowah provides a level of respite care second to none.

Specialised and Expert Care
Allowah provides respite for children with requirements such as seizure management, dystonia management, dysphagia management and aspiration prevention, pressure area care, gastrostomy management, tracheostomy care or home ventilation. We can also provide respite for children with home total parenteral nutrition (TPN).

The Allowah team aims to provide the very best food services to each child, working with both the nursing staff and allied health team to ensure each meal is suitable for each child. The menu is rotated and reviewed regularly in order to keep variety and interest in the food provided. Food is prepared fresh on-site every day.
With at least one Registered Nurse on site at all times, and experienced paediatricians on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, you can be confident that your child is well looked after during their stay.
Your child may be able to purchase an Accommodation Package using NDIS Core Supports. Accommodation Packages may also be purchased without NDIS funding.
